The overseas families have weekly Sai bhajans at a Community Centre in Guangdong province. Alongside the pictures of Sathya Sai Baba, a marble statute of Shirdi Sai was installed with vedic rites in April 2012.
The Sai family celebrates festivals like Easwaramma Day, Shivarathri, Guru Poornima, Dussera, and Christmas. Additionally, Swami's birthday is celebrated with a special programme.
The large television screen installed in the Community Centre allows the showing of broadcasts from Prashanti Nilayam of Sai Baba's darshan, His work, and the cultural programmes regularly performed in the Sai Kulwant Hall.
The Sai family in China regularly visits a home for physically and mentally challenged children and adults in the outskirts of the city. There are regular visits by the adults and also by the children to play with the
residents of the home.
During these visits, a variety of basic necessities are donated, including rice, cooking oil, sauces, toiletries, fruits, milk, etc. This has continued for the past 8-9 years.
This seva has moved the management of the home and also the Sai devotees by the love that is evident.
Additionally, in another industrial town in Guangdong province, devotees from Hong Kong visit on a 4 - 6 weekly basis to distribute rice and oil to about 18 families. The relief this brings to these under-privileged families has established a bond of love with these families, who are grateful for the help that is given without any fanfare and without demanding anything in return.
China is a country that is learning the value of selfless service of the under-privileged. The tree of truth, love, righteousness, peace and non-violence that has grown in India and around the world by Baba's love has now been planted in China.
